World Meteorological Day: "Climate and Water"

Today is World Meteorological Day! This year’s theme, “Climate and Water” focuses on the importance of water resource management and conservation. TVF&R HazMat Vehicle Visits CWS

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue  brought their HazMat vehicle by our facility last week for maintenance on their Orion™ Vehicle Mount Weather Station purchased in 2006. Their system utilizes the collapsible roof mount mast for the sensors and a Weather Display Console inside the vehicle for instantaneous, on-site weather monitoring. Columbia Weather is proud to provide weather monitoring equipment to emergency response services locally and across the country. Thanks to these first responders for helping keep our community safe! How to Install an Orion Weather Station Video

In this 4-minute video, Columbia Weather Systems technical support guru Vincent explains the process of installing an Orion weather station all-in-one sensor module with ultrasonic wind speed and direction, impact rain sensor, temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure.
