New Vela ™ Multi-Sensor Weather Station

Our new Vela (pronounced Vay-luh) Weather Station combines the ease of an all-in-one sensor package with the reliability and affordability of mechanical wind sensors.

In addition to wind speed and direction, the sensor module incorporates barometric pressure, as well as temperature and humidity sensors in a radiation shield. A tipping-bucket rain gauge is optional.

The multi-sensor design provides easy installation with a single sensor cable.

"Adding the Vela extends our product line with proven technology at an even more affordable price point," says CWS president Nader Khoury.

Monitoring options for the Vela Weather Station include the touchscreen Weather Display, WeatherMaster Software, and/or the Weather MicroServer with Internet and industrial protocols.

We are always excited when educators invest in giving their students hands-on knowledge of how weather works, how it’s measured, and how it affects them. South River High School in New Jersey does just that. Last year, the school installed a  Capricorn FLX Weather Station  on one of their buildings. The Climate Change Club uses the data to report hourly weather readings to the National Weather Service. According to their website: “This will make South River High School a weather hub for pilots to collect current weather conditions of our area.
