Updated MicroServer and Weather Display


We are updating these Real Time Monitoring interfaces. The new design is rolling out of production effective immediately.

One update is the new wind direction pointer which clarifies where the wind is blowing from and points where the wind is blowing to. The design retains the dark background with bright lettering suitable for control room environments.

A no-charge firmware upgrade is available for Weather Display consoles purchased since Version 2.4.9434, 04/24/2017.

A no-charge firmware upgrade is available for Weather MicroServers purchased since 9/9/2015.

Besides the new look, the MicroServer upgrade includes support for some of our newest sensors including the Pulsar 100 Doppler Radar Precipitation Monitor and the new Air Quality Monitors.

We are always excited when educators invest in giving their students hands-on knowledge of how weather works, how it’s measured, and how it affects them. South River High School in New Jersey does just that. Last year, the school installed a  Capricorn FLX Weather Station  on one of their buildings. The Climate Change Club uses the data to report hourly weather readings to the National Weather Service. According to their website: “This will make South River High School a weather hub for pilots to collect current weather conditions of our area. As Hurricane Milton makes its approach from the Gulf of Mexico towards Florida, Cloud Weather Server screenshots from a utility customer in the Keys show high wind speeds and a drop in barometric pressure.
