Springtime in Oregon - Small Hail Event Captured on WeatherMaster™ Software

“In the Spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours.”Mark Twain
Nader caught this video outside of our office earlier in the week. This small hail event right at 14:00 (2 pm) is captured on a Trend Graph with WeatherMaster™ Software. The shower of fine hail lasted about five minutes and was measured by our Orion™ Weather Station with impact rain sensor at 0.085” accumulation at a rate of 1.05 inches per hour.

Today is also National Find a Rainbow Day, a time to appreciate the meteorological phenomenon that often follows a storm — and the hope that it symbolizes. Make sure to look up today and share a photo if you find one!
