Capricorn FLX 420 Integrates to SCADA System

Thanks to Muhammad Atif Sheikh for tagging us in his LinkedIn post. Sheikh, a SCADA & EMS Engineer with K-Electric in Karachi, Pakistan, posts: “Working on testing and integration of Capricorn FLX Weather Station with Spectrum Power SCADA Systems.”

The company purchased a “fully-loaded” Cap FLX 420 for a power utility. Their weather station includes Wind Speed & Direction, Temperature, Humidity, Barometric Pressure, plus additional sensors Solar Radiation and Tipping Bucket Raingauge. For monitoring they have included all options: 4-20 mA signal interface, Weather MicroServer, Weather Display, and WeatherMaster Software.

CWS 420 models are popular professional weather stations with 4-20 mA output for industrial interface to PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems. All 420 weather stations include meteorological Sensors (various all-in-one and modular sensor systems available) and a weatherproof enclosure with 4-20 mA converter modules, power supply, and AC surge protector.

Additionally, real time monitoring, data logging, and graphing are available with a stand-alone Weather Display Console and/or Weather Master Software. The Weather MicroServer can also be connected to offer Internet-ready data as well as additional industrial protocols.
