Professional Air Quality Monitoring Systems for Analysis, Compliance, and Decision-Making

Image
Orion AQM™ Air Quality Monitoring systems from CWS provide immediate, on-site data for analysis, compliance, and decision-making. Choose from three models, all of which include the basic meteorological parameters of temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. Orion AQM-PM model includes Particulate Matter PM2.5 and PM10, and the Orion AQM-Gas measures common gaseous pollutants nitrogen dioxide (NO2), nitrogen monoxide (NO), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone (O3). Orion AQM-Complete measures particulate matter, gas, and meteorological parameters. Features include: ▶️ All-in-one units sensor modules for easy installation ▶️ Cost-effective, compact sensor solution ▶️ Additional meteorological sensors integration such as wind, precipitation, and solar radiation ▶️ Integration with Weather MicroServer for monitoring via Cloud Server, Internet Browser, SCADA systems and/or various industrial protocols. For more details, view our recently updated brochure and presentation here . Don’t h

Tracking Met Data and Crazy Colorado Weather with Pulsar™ Weather Stations

Image
Mobile Weather Lab reporting out in a snowstorm. “To be honest I was skeptical that the Pulsar would last very long on the roof of a Chevy Suburban deliberately driven through our crazy Colorado weather,” broadcast engineer Chris Jones described how they use their CWS weather stations at KCNC – CBS4 in Denver, CO. The station utilizes Pulsar™ Weather Stations with MicroServers and WeatherMaster™ Software for both their Mobile Weather Lab and their fixed-base rooftop equipment. “To my pleasant surprise the device was rock solid reliable and comes online very quickly. In our weatherlab your weather stations are used for ‘show and tell’ and adds to the visual storytelling for the viewer. CWS tech Vincent has done some recent work to customize their WeatherMaster software with the CBS logo as well as screen size to better fit their monitor: Customized WeatherMaster software with the CBS logo. ➡️ Read the full application note here .

Solar Microgrid Increases Resiliency for Chemeuevi Tribe Community

Image
Extreme summer weather conditions, frequent power disruptions due to aging infrastructure, and distance from the main power grid put the Chemehuevi Tribe community near Lake Havasu, Arizona community at risk. To mitigate this issue, a microgrid system was installed at the Community Center, which serves as an emergency response cooling center during power disruptions. The microgrid integrates the Solar 2 Capricorn FLX Weather Station with solar panels, battery storage, advanced data analytics, and smart energy management controls. Mounted on the carport: The Solar 2 Capricorn FLX Weather Station includes sensors for wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, temperature and humidity in a radiation shield, solar radiation, and solar panel temp. This system also includes the optional tipping bucket rain gauge. Alfredo Martinez-Morales, Managing Director of the Southern California Research Initiative for Solar Energy, said the weather station “helps monitor some of the data that is imp

Celebrating World Wetlands Day 2022
